Terms of Service

These terms cover the practical rules for using 10 Minute Mail. There is no account to agree to anything with, so using the site at all means you accept the terms below. They are short on purpose, because the service itself is simple: a free, temporary inbox with no strings attached.

The short version
  • Use the service for normal, lawful tasks - Sign-ups, downloads, one-time codes.
  • The inbox is provided as-is, with no guarantee a message will arrive in time.
  • We can change or discontinue features at any time, since there is no account to migrate.
  • You are responsible for what you send to, or do with, any address you generate here.

Acceptable use

What the service is built for

10 Minute Mail is built for everyday tasks: catching a verification code, reading a welcome email, or grabbing a download link without handing over your real address.

What is not allowed

  • Breaking the law.
  • Harassing or impersonating anyone.
  • Sending spam of your own through the service.
  • Bypassing another site's security or rate limits at scale.
  • Interfering with the service for other users.

We may block, rate-limit, or refuse access for any address or IP that abuses the tool, without prior notice.

No warranty, no guarantee

What we do and do not promise

We provideWe do not guarantee
A working address, free of chargeThat a message arrives before the timer ends
A live inbox while the timer runsThat a sender will accept a disposable address
Best-effort uptimeUninterrupted availability at all times

The service is provided free of charge and as-is, with no warranty of any kind. Do not use a disposable email inbox for anything you cannot afford to lose or miss.

Password resets on accounts you truly need, financial notices, or anything time-critical belong on an address you keep.

Changes to the service

Why no notice is promised

Because there are no accounts and nothing to migrate between versions, we can add, change, or remove features, adjust timer lengths, or take the service offline at any time, for any reason, without advance notice. We will keep the features page current so you can always see what is actually available.

Your responsibility

Shared infrastructure, not a private account

You are responsible for what you send through the service and for anything you do with a message before it expires. We do not review or moderate individual messages, and because the inbox is shared infrastructure, not a private account, you should never send anything through it that you would not be comfortable losing or having expire unread.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use 10 Minute Mail for anything illegal?
No. The service is for everyday tasks like sign-ups, downloads, and one-time codes. Using it to break a law, harass someone, or abuse another site is not allowed, and we may block access for anyone who does.
Does 10 Minute Mail guarantee my message will arrive?
No. The service is provided as-is and free of charge. Messages can be delayed, filtered as spam by the sender, or missed if the timer runs out first, so do not rely on it for anything time-critical or irreplaceable.
Can 10 Minute Mail change or shut down the service?
Yes. Because there are no accounts and nothing to migrate, we can change timers, add or remove features, or take the service offline at any time without notice. We do not expect to, but the terms allow it.
Who owns the messages that pass through the service?
You do not own the inbox itself - It is a shared, temporary tool - But you are responsible for what you send there and what you do with any message you receive before it expires.
