Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains, in plain words, what happens to your data when you use 10 Minute Mail. The short version is simple: The emails you receive are temporary and delete themselves, you never make an account, and a few outside partners help pay for a service that stays free. Here is the detail.

The short version
  • Emails are temporary and delete themselves when the timer ends.
  • You never create an account, so there is no name or password to store.
  • Servers may log standard technical data such as an IP address for security.
  • Advertising and analytics partners set cookies you can review and control.

What we store, and for how long

Your messages, gone when the timer ends

When you open the site, we generate a random address for you. Any message sent to that temporary email is held only long enough for you to read it. Once the timer runs out, the address and every message tied to it are erased through automatic expiration. We do not archive your mail and we do not build a lasting inbox.

For basic operation and security, our servers may log standard technical data such as an IP address, a browser type, and the time of a request.

Held briefly versus never stored

What we may hold brieflyWhat we never store
Messages, only while the timer runsYour name or real email address
Standard server logs such as an IP addressA password or account profile
Cookie choices set through the consent toolAn archive of your past inboxes

You never sign up

Nothing to create, nothing to steal

There is no registration, no password, and no profile. We do not ask for your name, your real email, or a phone number. Because there is no account, there is nothing for you to delete later and no login for anyone to steal. If you want to tidy up where your address already appears across the web, our guide on managing your privacy is a good place to start.

Cookies, advertising, and analytics

How the free service is funded

This is a free service, and third-party partners help cover the cost. To do that, we load outside scripts for advertising and for analytics. These partners can set their own cookies in your browser and may collect data such as your approximate location or the pages you view.

A consent tool appears so you can review and control these choices, and you can change your selection at any time. If you would rather limit tracking across every site you visit, our privacy playbook covers the browser settings and add-ons that help.

Your choices

Three ways to stay in control

  • Manage consent: Use the on-page consent tool to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
  • Browser controls: Block or clear cookies from your browser settings whenever you like.
  • Walk away clean: Close the tab and your address expires on its own. There is nothing to sign out of.
